Simplicity 2708 - 1940s Women's Surplice Bodice Dress with Gored Skirt
Soft gathers are released from the forward shoulder sea of the surplice bodice. The gored skirt joins the bodice at the natural waistline under a self or purchased belt. In Style 1, the bodice and collar are cut in one and the short sleeves are trimmed with wide cuffs. Style 2 features three-quarter sleeves which are gathered at the lower edge and finished with cuffs. Copyright 1949.
