This is Vogue's Basic Fitting Shell and Dress as part of Vogue's Guide to Perfect Fit of Fitted Garments: the key to personal fit for Vogue patterns with waistline seams. This basic fitting pattern is designed to assure perfect firt and reduce alterations during construction of garments with waistline seams. It includes seven pages of fit guildeines to help adjust patterns for problems such as a swayback, a flat bottom, broad shoulders, etc.
Slim fitting shell, mid-knee length has jewel neckline, natural waistline and full length set-in sleeves. A-line dress, two inches above knee has natural waistline and short sleeves. Purchased belt. Circa the late 1960s or early 1970s.

CONDITION
Pattern is uncut and factory folded. Instructions are lightly browned with age but perfectly legible. Envelope is in very good vintage condition with creases and tiny tears at edges, a red inventory "6" stamp on the back.
